Other Notes About This Wonderful Town.

Best Things To Do In Solvang

To get to Solvang if you are staying in the Los Angeles area I suggest leaving extremely early because it takes about two hours and a half to get there unless you are staying over which is more convenient and cute.

I went this time to Solvang with my good friend Arly Marin who by the way took most of my pictures! We were looking to buy some souvenirs and I have to say that they are all so adorable!!!!! I wanted them all but we noticed while we walked around that many stores have the same type of souvenirs at a much higher price, the cutest and most convenient we found was the Iron Art Gift Shop where they were very welcoming and helpful.

Another coffee shop we liked and enjoyed was “Good Seed Coffee Boutique” Link:  https://goodseedcoffeeboutique.com/

And last but not least you cannot miss the iconic bakery Birholm’s Bakery and Cafe. Link: http://www.birkholmsbakery.com/

When is the best time to visit Solvang?

I have two favorite seasons:

I adore going to Solvang during Christmas!! It feels magical with the festive decorations adorning the whole town. It feels like you are even more inside a storybook. But I have to say that the cool temperatures can be challenging in this area.

My other favorite Season is Spring, temperatures are warmer with blooming flowers everywhere which makes it ideal for outdoor activities. Also, you can see fewer crowds allowing for a more relaxed experience while exploring the town and its attractions.

Many wineries in the surrounding Santa Ynez Valley host events and tastings to celebrate the grape harvest, providing opportunities to sample local wines.
